Dan is a commercial and editorial photographer focused on the humanity of subjects (and settings!) within studio and environmental portraiture.

His photo assignments have included things like: people for Esquire; travel for AFAR; clothing for Club Monaco; music for Red Bull Sound Select; hair products for P&G; tech for Bloomberg Businessweek; and dystopian tech for The Atlantic.

After leaving photography to work as an art director for advertising agencies including Camp + King, CP+B, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Dan returned to photography and his home state of Washington in 2021.

Dan's had the opportunity to work and study in Atlanta, Bangkok, Berkeley, Boulder, NYC, and SF, and enjoys returning to visit, so be sure to ask if he'll cover or split travel costs.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys backpacking in Olympic National Park, sailing in the Puget Sound. writing about himself in the third-person.
